Opps.... it's been a while
Hey, well, after getting a few emails from folks saying things like..."i checked your website but it hasn't been updated recently," i thought I should get on an do it. First though, a quick update on the puppies....wow they are growing, i can't believe how small they used to be, they are so much fun, i'll get some photos soon...yeah, i know i've said it before, this time i mean it, really.
Anyways, so over the past month or 2 ...well, i've been busy. School has just consumed my life, we are now up to 14 enrolments or thereabouts, and it is great. I"m really enjoying the challenge it is, but it's great. We've also moved house, so no longer are we in the mansion down the bottom of the page - we are now in a much smaller, much more comfy house, on a much quieter road, which is really great. We've also had lots of visits from home YAY keep them coming. Chris's mum came and visited us for 2 weeks, which was great, i'm still chomping through all the chocolate she brought over for me. And then, Anna, Chris's sister came, and while she isn't stricktly from home, living in Vietnam and all, she is from home all the same. And then, a couple of weeks later, much to our surpise, Wayne, Chris's father came to visit us, which was also great. Flying visit of 3 days, didn't last long but was great while it lasted.
As for Chris, he has been keeping busy with Destiny Rescue, and making that bigger and better etc etc. A few dramas over the past few months, one which I'll share here briefly. A few months ago, ie 6, one of the ladies in the village where he works lost her oldest son to Typhoid, due to various reasons, one of which being quality of care etc, one being not having enough money to stay in hospital..there were a few reasons. Anyway, a few months on from that, and another one of her children got really sick, and just didn't respond to any of the medicine or treatments offered by the hospital here. Eventually she brought him to the clinic Chris runs, and his nurse worked out there was something really wrong and they got on to it, and sent him to a western doctor who said typhoid with complications, and started treatment, with the possibility of an operation. Unfortunately though, there was no way DR could afford to pay for all this, and there was no way the lady could afford, it came to about $200 so our church and my school gave money and covered the costs, and this lady has her son back, with no extra debt, and the opportunity to see the Church actually come through and do something for her which was relevant and really really big.
anyways, so that's pretty much what we've been up to, Chris has started dragon boat tgraining again for the races in Nov, and I'm keeping up my guitar and keyboard practice (or i will if i get the keyboard back - it broke) and i'm beginning to lead worship at church sometimes, which is pretty scary but kinda fun.
so, i'll have some photos soon, of our new place and the new people at school etc.....maybe some friends, i'll try find some fun things to put online. And i'll try keep it up a bit more regular.
